DEAR [Rhona Raskin]: While shopping in the mall with my friend last week, I saw her steal some makeup. She asked the clerk behind the counter to show her an item that was locked in the showcase. While the salesgirl went to get the keys to unlock it, my friend slipped an expensive lipstick into her pocket and then pretended to be interested in the perfume the salesgirl brought her. Of course she didn't buy it. I didn't say anything until she used the lipstick later on in the washroom.
