Manitoba Conservatives Call Province's Tax Rate 'an Insult'

Tory finance critic Rick Borotsik said Wednesday in a news briefing and during question period that the NDP has set tax rates so high that personal tax savings trumpeted in the Doer government's recent budget amount to precious little for most Manitobans.

"I think it's an insult to the taxpayers of Manitoba," Borotsik said, adding many here pay about twice as much in personal taxes as people in other provinces outside of Quebec.
