On July 4, Six Canadian soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle -- also an RG-31, which is considered one of the Canada's safest military vehicles. The dead are Capt. Matthew Johnathan Dawe, Cpl. Cole Bartsch, Cpl. Jordan Anderson and Pte. Lane Watkins, all of 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based in Edmonton, and Master-Cpl.
