"This is something police officers do not take lightly," [Kelly Dennison] said, explaining it's rare to have two police shootings in one day. "Some officers go through their entire career without doing this."

"It's starting to become too common," he said. "People just don't give up."

The second incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. when officers with the Stolen Auto Unit tried to stop the driver of a stolen white Ford F350 pick-up truck on Dufferin Avenue.
