Six criminal nuisance charges against Dr. Roger Perrault were withdrawn Friday in Hamilton Ont., after Crown attorney John Pearson told the court there was no "reasonable prospect of conviction."
In withdrawing the charges, Pearson told the court it would be "irresponsible," no matter how strong the public interest in continuing with the prosecution, to ignore Ontario Superior Court Justice Mary Lou Benotto's findings. "The system has let us down again," [John Plater] said. "It's the final inning of the game and some people dropped the ball.
