The mayor of the Killarney-Turtle Mountain municipality, Rick Pauls, said the first step is to conduct an official deer count, which he expects to be completed this winter. According to results of the survey published in The Killarney Guide, 86 per cent of respondents said they have experienced damage to their property, 24 people said they gave up gardening because of deer and 12 reported that deer ate right off their patio or deck.
