From 1975-79 Mike Burchuk coached the Royals to five provincial titles, and then went on to coach the University of Winnipeg Wesmen women and Canada's national team. "Mike was a big part of [Selkirk] volleyball," said [Rick Scott], "but there have been a lot of other people who have been involved in the last 25 years, like Jim Schreyer and Niki Gusberti."

If [Chris Voth] has an edge, it's his father Lloyd, one of the team's coaches. "I have always played for him in club, and he's always coaching at school, so I am pretty used to it," he said.

"I have had a lot of success and feel pretty fortunate," said [Phil Hudson]. "We've been blessed with a lot of good athletes, and great freshmen coaches."
