There are the Naysayers: A tired expression used to describe those who believe the Believers shouldn't be, ahem, believed. Or something like that. These folks steadfastly adhere to a position that the NHL will put a franchise in Kuwait before coming back to a place considered a backwater by the little commissioner. The don't-hold-your-breath crowd.
Then there are the Yo-yos: These are a group, your humble agent among them, who openly vacillate on the topic. For example, this crew would have been strongly aligned with the Naysayers... until the NHL's lost season, crumbling of the player's union and institution of a salary cap tied directly to revenues. These people would then begin to consider shifting their allegiance to the Believers.... until the salary cap jumped to $44 million this year from $39 million in 2005-06.
