"We're extremely happy," said former Wheat King Ron Hextall, Los Angeles' assistant general manager. "He was the kid that we hopefully pencilled in with our pick and we had some reservations whether he would be there or not and we're extremely happy that he was. We knew that if we moved back, we weren't going to get him and he was really the guy that we targeted... You can't get enough Westerners and you can't get enough Wheaties."
