After having 26 of my husband's football friends over for a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal (including four homemade pies), I'm certain my rate's back to normal. Secretly, you should know Thanksgiving was fun for me, too. These events are great for showing us what we should value most in life. But you can bet I won't be telling my husband that. It would devalue my currency.

For Thanksgiving, her husband, Pat, worked for days cleaning the house and preparing dinner for her parents, brothers and uncle. Unfortunately, the uncle spits whenever he says any word containing the letter "p." So last week, Pat's currency skyrocketed the second his wife's uncle turned to him and said: "Please pass the potatoes, Pat." Next year, Pat's making rice. But next week, he's heading to Vegas for a weekend with friends.
