His last solo acoustic show was at the 2006 Winnipeg Folk Festival, but that was before the release of last year's Grammy-winning album, Washington Square Serenade. [STEVE Earle] played 11 of the 12 tracks from the thematic release about moving to New York with his latest wife Alison Moorer, but he gave the fans a large helping of some old favourites, devoting the first 30 minutes to classics like Steve's Last Ramble, Devil's Right Hand, Someday, Tom Ames' Prayer and Billy Austin. Despite election fever in the United States and the never ending war in Iraq, Earle avoided the overtly political songs from Jerusalem and The Revolution Starts.
