It is with considerable pleasure that I announce the recipients of the Verity Award for Best Management Paper published in the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences (CJAS) in 2007. Congratulations to Drs. Jelena Zikic and Julia Richardson, both of York University, for their paper entitled: Unlocking the careers of business professionals following job loss: Sensemaking and career exploration of older workers (volume 24, issue 1), 58-73. In addition to sharing in a $5,000 cash award, they received plaques and public accolades at this year's ASAC conference in Halifax. Four papers were nominated for this award (of the 20 we published among the 164 submissions received in 2007), and while the competition was "stiff, all three adjudicators independently ranked this paper as their top choice.
