Summary
JUSTICE is not usually well-served when the administration of it creates public outrage, as has resulted from the deal that Crown prosecutors in Saskatchewan have cut with notorious pedophile Peter Whitmore. Dangerous offender had been the sentence that the Crown had originally promised to pursue and would have allowed authorities to keep Mr. Whitmore, a career pedophile who is considered to be incapable of being rehabilitated, in jail for the rest of his life. Instead he will be allowed to plead guilty to charges of kidnapping and sexual assault in exchange for a life sentence that makes him eligible for parole in seven years.
