Summary
Bad manners and opportunism, however, are not much as grist for a political mill. Conservative Leader Hugh McFadyen might carp, but better for the province would be that he allow the hoopla to subside and then show he has more to offer than calculation, contrivance and buying ballots. Since becoming leader a year ago, Mr. McFadyen has not shown Manitobans much at all. He has said that he has been holding his cards close for fear that Mr. [Gary Doer] will steal them, as the premier has done again and again in preparing for this campaign. Manitobans will decide who shall govern, but for the health of the province, they need Mr. McFadyen to give them a choice.
