The poll was released exclusively to the Brandon Sun.Of the 400 people polled, the incumbent Burgess picked up 35 per cent of the votes - enough to send him back to Brandon City Hall for the third straight time since his first mayoral victory in 2002. Adding Kille's name into the mix was strategic in that he is identified locally as a Liberal (giving voters a third choice besides the Conservative-aligned Burgess and card-carrying NDPer Decter Hirst ) and has the municipal political experience to be a legitimate contender, he added.
