The e-mails from the wine store weren't the only great news I got this week. There was also a letter from Terry Borys, superintendent of Louis Riel School Division. Borys embraced the vision of Pennies a couple of years ago and he has become one of the campaign's staunchest supporters.

His division actually runs "Pennies From Louis Riel School Division", a program that involved all 39 schools. That's 15,000 students. He has challenged them, school staff and members of the board office to support the campaign. I'm grateful for his backing and that of every one else in the division.

Wilf Hodgson is setting up his Walnut Grove Christmas Village at Southdale Centre this year and he's happy to accept donations on my behalf. Marge from Dr. Finkleman and Dr. Zimmer's dental office on Portage Ave. called to say she's already collecting coins.
