Head lifeguard Cori Locke has worked at the pool for four summers and said she noticed more injuries this summer because of the growing number of cracks in the cement surrounding the pool. The vision for a new pool was created in 2004 when a committee met to discuss the future of Souris and its role as a Manitoba tourist destination but the planning and design process began in 2006.
