Explosives sales for Nordex.

Nordex Explosives of Kirkland Lake has announced the signing of a two-year agreement with Alamos Gold to supply explosive products to the Young-Davidson Mine in Matachewan in northeastern Ontario.

Under the terms of the agreement, which runs from Sept. 1, 2015 to Aug. 31, 2017, a minimum of 90 per cent of all explosive product requirements will be purchased from Nordex.

Prior to this agreement, Alamos had purchased explosives from Nordex as well as other explosive suppliers and manufacturers.

The company said there is no minimum volume or dollar commitment and resulting explosive sales will be a function of the operating activities at the mine.
