New seasonally adjusted figures released by Statistics Canada on Wednesday show sales of new cars and trucks stalled in February in Manitoba, falling by 8.2 per cent from the previous month and 21.3 per cent from a year earlier. However, Manitoba's month-over-month decline was the smallest among the seven provinces that posted a drop.

"I'm not saying they're all buying. But at least they're out there looking, which is more than they were doing back in February."

[Bruce Giesbrecht] said he also expects that trend to continue. "I think it's onward and upward from here on in."
