Fish Goal: Make Hay at Home

Summary

That's the best start for a Goldeyes team in memory, but they'll have to keep on winning if they're going to hold off the red-hot Schaumburg Flyers in the standings. The Flyers have won six in a row and are 8-2 in their last 10 and now trail the Goldeyes by just 11/2 games.

"It's been so long since this club has gotten out of the gate like this," [Rick Forney] said on a rare day off Thursday. "I'm just happy for the players and the fans. And I'm happy for the organization -- it's been a long wait for this kind of start.

Put it all together and Forney says there's nothing not to like about his team right now. "Everything is working right now," he says. "Everyone is doing a good job."
