Forestry 'top priority' for new minister.

Newly crowned Natural Resources and Forestry Minister (MNRF) Kathryn McGarry went on a familiarization tour of companies and facilities in Northern Ontario in late July.

"Forestry will be a top priority for me," said McGarry, in a July 22 statement released through the Ontario Forest Industries Association (OFIA). "I appreciate how important the sector is for Ontario's economy and communities throughout the province, especially in Northern Ontario."

While in Thunder Bay, McGarry toured Resolute Forest Products and viewed industry-related investments at Confederation College.
