The courts have imposed a ban on publishing the woman's name, since she is allegedly the victim of a sexual assault. The Free Press is not naming the former officer in order to protect his ex-wife's identity.

July 2006: The officer is arrested on allegations he criminally harassed his estranged wife and violated a protection order granted to her only days before the offence. He's granted bail, but is placed on sick leave and required to turn in his gun.

July 2008: He's arrested at his ex-wife's Charleswood home and charged with violently and repeatedly sexually assaulting her, break-and-enter with violence, forcible confinement and six other criminal allegations.
