"This is what we worked for all year, to be in this position, to get our way to Nationals, and we didn't," she said, bursting into tears. "And to us, our season isn't over yet. It doesn't feel real. It feels like we're going to go practice (today).

"This is a tough loss, obviously," said [Ken Bentley], one of the most successful CIS coaches. "There's no words to soothe the emotion of losing this match and not going to Nationals. It'll be the best team I've ever had that has not gone to a national championship.

"Philosophically, I don't agree with this Final Four concept at all. I mean, all the coaches know that. It's just not the right way to determine who the best team is. Having said that, we're at home and we had two chances to qualify and we didn't do it. So that makes it all the more difficult to swallow."
