"We haven't done that in a while, it feels like," said Bomber defensive tackle Doug Brown, referring to blowing a fourth-quarter lead and not rallying for a win. "We'll treat it as just one game... It's a failure across the board for all of us and we have to go back to work."
The Bombers were clinging to a 9-8 lead midway through the third quarter when rookie kicker Alexis Serna, who was good on his three field-goal attempts, bobbled a perfect snap from Chris Cvetkovic and then fumbled before having a scrambling punt attempt blocked with the Argos James Robinson recovering at the Winnipeg four-yard line. Two plays later Jamal Robertson scooted in for a 15-9 advantage. And while the Bombers would re-take the lead with a Charles Roberts one-yard run early in the fourth quarter, they would surrender it on a safety when opting not to have Serna punt out of his own end zone with 5:39 remaining, thinking they could still rally in the final five minutes.Gaffes Galore
