Your best bet is to treat the younger boss situation the same as if you were working for a new boss. Follow the boss's lead and adapt to their work method, style and values. Listen to their suggestions, even if you do not agree, and be sure not to discount their ideas right off the bat.
Don't confuse youth with inexperience. While it may be tempting to think, "What do you know, you're just a kid?" it's not a helpful mindset. Remember that no matter what their birth certificate says, younger managers are chosen because someone recognized that they have the skills and smarts to lead.Realize that it's a weird situation for you both. Older workers have the benefit of having been around the block, but it can make matters worse to bring up how things used to be done in the past. It can also strain an already awkward relationship to use terms like "youngster" and "old-timer" to address your situation.
