"Enough's enough," said [Samuel McGillivray], who planned to continue his protest. "I want something done now."
Most damaging to McGillivray was the murder of [Henry Blake]'s wife in 1977. After years of beatings, 14-year-old Sheldon Perepelkin shot Blake's wife at close range in her bed. McGillivray and other boys found her body covered in a bed sheet. When they looked down, they realized they were standing in her blood, one of the memories that has haunted McGillivray and caused him a lifetime of mental anguish."I've tried to keep my head above water," said McGillivray.
