Goldcorp fined for mine injury.

Goldcorp Canada pleaded guilty in a Provincial Offences Court and was fined $100,000 after a 2013 incident at its mine in Red Lake in which a mine worker was injured by a haulage car.

On October 13, 2013, workers were performing tasks at the 800 level of the Campbell Complex Mine near Balmertown when haulage cars being loaded with ore did not stop.

A worker's hand was crushed when a coworker attempted to pull him out of the way. He suffered cuts and a broken bone as a result.
