[Brendan Taman]'s take: "He's not technically a rookie, but he's an interesting addition for us because he might give us the flexibility to play a Canadian at safety. When he came out of Rutgers he was a damn good football player. He's a big component to what we want to try and do back there, so if he's healthy there's a good chance he could be our starting safety."

Taman's take: "He's just a good football player. Now, he's going to have to come in and fight for his life on special teams. But we've got a hole there now and he's a good, hard-nosed football player. I really think he's got a chance."

Taman's take: "He didn't get drafted and I call it the 'Roger Aldag Syndrome' because he's only six feet tall. Roger Aldag played in this league for something like 80 years, but he didn't fit into that height-weight perception so many people have of O-linemen. [KYLE KOCH] could be one of the young O-linemen who could fit into our system."
