Winnipegger Jordan Cieciwa is a believer. The personal trainer and owner of the exercise studio Professional Edge is the first in the city to bring a body vibration machine to Winnipeg for commercial use. He's stoked about his purchase of an $11,000 Power Plate, one of the many brands of vibration machines available. The brand's machines range in price from about $3,000 to $11,000.

"If you go on it the day after a game and your legs are feeling heavy and you walk off it, it feels like you're walking on clouds," says [Jordan Mirwaldt], noting he sometimes gets a "head rush" after a vibrating session.

"I really like it. After you work out, you hop on there for 10 minutes and you can really feel that it's stretching you out," she says. "I personally don't hurt the next day as much. I don't feel as stiff."
