After South's one-no-trump opening North transferred into spades and then checked on aces with key-card Gerber. On learning that South held two aces and the queen of trumps, North elected to play in the suit -- this was rubber bridge and the 100 honors was not to be sneered at. West led a trump, declarer won in dummy and immediately finessed the queen of hearts, losing to the king.
