"At the end of the year I said it was going to be tough to keep all those 42 guys that played in the Grey Cup together, and this is the start of it I guess," said Bombers' general manager Brendan Taman, who knew on New Year's Eve the Bengals and [KYRIES Hebert]'s agent were close.

"It's good for Kyries... not good for us, but I'm always pleased for the guy," [Doug Berry] told the Free Press of losing his starting safety, the club's nominee for special teams player of the year in 2007. "He's great in the locker-room, he's a great team player, nothing's more important to him than the football team."

"Now I don't know what direction he's gone in, but I know he would like to get into coaching," Berry said. "I'll be back in Winnipeg in a couple of days so I'll find out more then. But I am aware of his desires to... if he's going to be a No. 4 quarterback versus getting on with his life..."
