"I sought out Ronald McDonald (House) still curious about where I was referring families to because they'd all come back and say 'oh what a wonderful place,'" said [Mandigo]. "Now I understand how appreciative they were of the house and all it had to offer and why they always looked forward to coming back."

"Fluffing a pillow, sharing a story book, painting my nose to make somebody laugh, singing silly songs -- anything to put a smile on their face," said Mandigo, describing some of her favourite memories of Ronald McDonald House and its clients.

"From Ronald McDonald House I have learned to hope for the best and to have faith that good news is always on its way and to know that anything can happen between yesterday and tomorrow," said Mandigo. "I have learned that courage shows up when you need it, especially through times of uncertainty. I'm truly thankful for Ronald McDonald House in my life and the wonderful blessings the families have been to me."
