Summary
Over the past three years, Bella and I have had to get used to a great deal. She has learned to avoid the minefield set forth by my kids' stray toys and Dim Sum -- the cat who still wishes Bella were only a bad dream. Thankfully, our pup was trained to travel well in the car. This was essential for our family. We visit Edmonton more often than Air Canada does. Bella and I have grown to love Manitoba's warm summers and tolerate its brutal winters. Only one wish remains -- if only she could read a street map.
For me, a home isn't a home without pets. And mere months before the move, Hercules, my beautiful Samoyed, had passed away. It left a void in my heart that even chocolate couldn't satiate. Needing to grieve, and knowing moving puts more stress on a family than my belly does on a pair of jeans, I knew it wasn't a good time to give another dog a home.
