In His Advancing Years

Summary

"Last year all your questions were about no experience and I learned some lessons both good and bad. I learned more through this regular season and I've had the chance to sit back and reflect and pick things I'd do differently," said [Scott Arniel], following Tuesday's workout at MTS Centre. "There is still lots for me to learn as I go. There are challenges every day and things change every day but I feel a lot more comfortable right now than I did a year ago."

"Knowing the process, getting a feel for the process and how the games go. You can't really prepare for that and I've learned lots in that area," said Arniel. "Control of who is on the ice at certain times and a better idea of what works and what doesn't. I think my ability to adjust and be flexible has turned out to be an asset as a coach."

The pipes: The betting line says rookie goalie Cory Schneider will play Friday night, but Moose coach Scott Arniel isn't ready to confirm that, leaving both Schneider and Drew MacIntyre as possibilities. "I've made a decision but I'm not ready to share it. It's kind of a guessing game and makes for a little extra work for Syracuse if they have to prepare for both guys. I haven't told the goalies yet but they'll know soon."
