"It was purely [Craig Wright] that drew me to the project," [Peter Krause] said during ABC's portion of the U.S. networks' summer press tour. "I've had the good fortune to work with really wonderful writers in television and to play really great characters.

"They are incredibly wealthy," Krause said of his on-screen employers. "As written, they are worth in excess of $30 billion; these aren't just millionaires. These are people who wake up in the morning and have no question about money. It's just not a part of their lives, but that doesn't mean they aren't wondering whether this is a day that will bring them happiness or sorrow.

"I was watching the family rehearse a scene, in a rehearsal hall in New York City," he explained, "and it was so entertaining, and so good -- I was shaking my head, thinking to myself, 'God damn, I'm going to be doing this for six years.'"
