Lakehead University's board of governors has renewed Brian Stevenson for a second five-year term beginning next August.

In a Sept. 3 release, chair Cameron Clark said the board has confidence in Stevenson's ability to reach the Thunder Bay institution's goals and objectives.

"President Stevenson's renewal confirms the board's confidence in his ability to realize our institution's goals and objectives," he said.

"As Lakehead gets ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary, we feel that his level of dedication and experience continues to be what our university needs to lead us through the challenges to come and guarantee our success."
