Summary
Oh, there's nudity in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which hands a producer's credit to current comedy go-to guy [Judd Apatow]. But it's male nudity, and it's male nudity of a curiously soft and, um, deflated kind.
Jason Segel, who scripts and stars, begins with a recognizable rom-com setup. Sweet slacker Peter is devastated when his ambitious actress girlfriend Sarah (Kristen Bell of television's Veronica Mars) dumps him. Consoling himself with a Hawaiian vacation, he immediately runs into Sarah, along with her brand-new British rock-star boyfriend Aldous (Russell Brand). Hotel-room hijinks ensue when Peter gets a sympathetic ear from desk clerk Rachel (Mila Kunis of That '70s Show). The fair-minded Segel gives screen-time -- and even some funny lines! -- to the women. He also allows the minor characters room to work, with some memorable drop-ins from Apatow regulars like Jonah Hill, as a lovelorn waiter, and Paul Rudd, who plays a laid-back "island-style" surfing teacher ("Do less! Do less!"). Brand's Aldous slinks around like a snake-hipped Dionysian sex god, but in the end, his massive narcissism has an appealing innocence.See the full content of this document
