"We lost the last two years in five (sets) in the semifinal so this is a good one for all those guys who didn't get a chance to play in the finals," said Dakota head coach Phil Hudson. "We talked before the game that we're playing more than just the guys on this team, it's for a lot of the guys in the whole program over the years so it's a pretty good feeling."

"It's a great feeling, the team has worked so hard to get to this point and I really think we've earned this one. Phil Hudson is a great coach and he's led us this way," said [Kevin Stevens], a Grade 12 Dakota player. "Against Miles Mac, we're going to have to game-plan and if we practise hard the next couple of days, I think we can take them."

"I told my boys the best team will win at provincials, not the best individuals, I said that at the beginning of the year so hopefully it will hold true on Monday," said [Tim Au], who praised both [Sean Bailey] and Mitch Oswald, who sat the remainder of the second set after [Scott Friesen] was injured and Bailey was already in the game as libero and could not be subbed out. "Hopefully it (the injury to Friesen) will unite the team together here and we'll pull off a win on Monday."
