[Gord Haugh] estimated the number of companies has declined from about 50 to 25, with about half of those remaining in Manitoba. Over the same period, CIPA estimates the number of employees in the industry has dropped to about 2,500, a decline of about 30 per cent. Haugh estimated annual revenues at $500 million, approximately 40 per cent less than what they were in 2003.
