As reported last month, Shindico is looking at erecting either a one-storey, 85,000-square-foot building on the old arena site, or a two-storey, 150,000-to-160,000-square-foot structure. [Sandy Shindleman] said negotiations are underway with a number of prospective tenants, but he wouldn't say who they are because nothing has been finalized. He said he hopes to make some announcements within the next 90 to 120 days.

Shindleman predicted [David Asper] wouldn't have any trouble finding tenants to fill his retail complex if the football club accepts his proposal, which would be contingent on the project also receiving $80 million in federal/provincial funding and the Bombers board of directors relinquishing control of the community-owned club to a private corporation.
