"It's a new voice," [Bruce Boudreau] said following Thursday's practice. "I know a lot of these guys and have coached them on championship teams. I'm fairly demanding. I might smile and joke with them but if they don't do what is needed they know they have to pay the price. We all have to be accountable."

"We have to score goals. Every time I wake up it's Alex Ovechkin scored the goal, and I think for us to be successful we have to have balance and more guys have got to score. The goaltending has always been great and the defence is better than people think and I think the forwards all have the skill. I look at the guys that I've had, they're capable of scoring and we have to find a way to have them score and make them believe they can score," he said.
