"He created a very luxurious home," says Claire Hoffer, agent selling the property. "The furnishings were brought from England and it was absolutely considered state of the art at the time."

Stand on the original brick floor of the enclosed sunroom with its wide modern windows and watch the slow-flowing Red and the pelicans that gather on the water. Walk or snowshoe the private trail winding its way through the mature trees and enveloping vegetation, or contemplate life as it used to be when the two car coach house on the grounds actually held horses and carriages, says Hoffer.

"You are in the interior of the home but you are experiencing the exterior landscape as it evolves through the seasons," says Hoffer. "I had a chance to first view the home as the winter was coming to an end, and even though it was stark, it was absolutely magnificent."
