"One of the keys to our success is running the middle, but we never really seemed to get any flow going with our middle attackers," said [Rick Scott], explaining why his team struggled. "A lot of balls had to be released outside, and Alberta is a good blocking and defending team."

"The consolation for our girls is the fact that it wasn't 3-0 either way," said [Mike Lauzon]. "I'd rather lose a phenomenal well-fought battle like that than to have an easy final."

"I thought we had a plan that would work to exploit their (Quebec's) weaknesses, but they rose to the challenge and really played well," said Manitoba men's coach Greg Beckwith. "Their corner hitters were very good, and we were prepared for what they were doing, but unfortunately we didn't execute the way we had to, to have success.
