The festival is free with regular museum admission and runs Monday, Aug. 4 to Saturday, Aug. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, log onto www.childrensmuseum.com.
"ö Plant a Tree -- There's no better way to teach your children about the environment than making them positive contributors to their own future. Planting a tree is one of the single most important things we can all do to help cut back on harmful pollutants in the air. And aside from the ecological implications of introducing a new seedling into your lives, think of all the possible benefits your family will enjoy for years to come. From needed shade to creating a home for wildlife to watching their creation grow, your kids will become more in tune to their surroundings as a result. For A-Z instructions on how to plant and take care of a new tree, log onto www.ecokids.ca and click on "Games & Activities" followed by "Land Use."See the full content of this document
