"So far to this point, 42 games, I can't recall more than one or two games where the power play has won us a game, single-handedly," said [Scott Arniel], whose team is 27-13-0-2 despite having just 31 power-play goals in 42 games. "It's a good thing, it means we're scoring lots five on five.

"One area I'm satisfied with here is our penalty killing, maybe excepting the last two weeks," he said. "But our power play is something I take a lot of pride in, you try to out-think the opposition, you try to prepare your guys to react to what they see on the ice."

"The D-men have to get shots through more," [Nolan Baumgartner] said. "A lot of times when we're getting pressure, you've got to take it and at least get it through to the net. I think it's one of our biggest problems."
