The legislation needed to create the February holiday died on the order paper when last month's election was called, and there wasn't time to introduce it during the short session that followed election day. That means it must be reintroduced pretty quickly after the House resumes sitting Sept. 25. It's expected to receive unanimous support from all parties.

The province is sifting through about 120 entries from school children all over the province who proposed names for the new February holiday. The entries are still secret until the province chooses a winner.
