Summary
The Spartans, who won the fourth annual varsity boys high school basketball tournament in 2004 but did not qualify for the top-flite semifinal last year, won their pool with three wins on Friday to put themselves into the semifinal round of the Victoria Inn Division along with the winners of the other Tier 1 pools. Joining Neelin in the final four teams looking for the championship of the top-flite Victoria Inn Division will be last year's champions, the Oak Park Raiders, who won Pool C and will try to make their fourth straight championship final appearance when they play the Garden City Fighting Gophers, winners of Pool B, in the other semifinal.
