This latter component is supplied by the non-CGI Mickey Rourke, who passes himself off as rough-and-tumble tycoon Darrius Sayle. Sayle was the subject of [Ian]'s investigation before he died. And Sayle is about to achieve global prominence with the release of a new computer -- Stormbreaker -- which he is generously donating to every school in Britain.

Hence Alex goes undercover as a computer nerd/contest winner to infiltrate Sayle's high-tech factory complex to determine Sayle's real intentions.

For another thing, the story has no credible threat. Sayle's master plan is simply an act of mass murder that offers no real profit to Sayle or any of his confederates, other than petty vengeance against his abusive treatment in the English school system. It's patronizing to young audiences to suggest they should seriously invest themselves in this throwaway plot.
