VERNON, B.C. -- It was the worst of days, it was the best of days. But more than anything, it was a memorable day for Winnipeg's Jennifer Jones here at the women's world curling championship on Tuesday.
With Canada in all kinds of trouble -- yet again -- in the 10th end, Jones negotiated a micro-port to lie one on the four-foot with her first rock. [Debbie McCormick] needed to match the shot with her last, but she crashed and instead opened up a path for Jones to draw the four-foot with the last rock of the game and secure a deuce and the most unlikely of Canada victories, by a score of 10-9.It was a spectacular end to what began otherwise as a dreary day for Canada. In what was a battle of unbeaten teams on the morning draw, Jones controlled her game with China's [Bingyu Wang] and appeared to have had the game won when she stepped into the hack to throw the last rock of the 10th end.No Quit in Team Jones
