Ring of Fire junior miner Noront Resources announced in late June that it had received a notice of approval from the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change on the terms of reference for its Eagles Nest nickel copper project in the James Bay lowlands.

The terms of reference, approved with a number of amendments, allows the Toronto-based miner to advance on the environmental assessment process (EA) for its proposed Ring of Fire mine.
